Deptford Doodles

#DeptfordDoodles is a hashtag I created for my community. I created an ad on the website Nextdoor, asking if any of my neighbors would like a doodle portrait done for free. My goal for this project was to harvest an interdisciplinary framework. Given the challenges of not meeting people in person, I had to utilize the cyber world to harvest conversations surrounding topic within my practice (temporal identity). I was particularly interested in seeing what the individual would allow me to draw, I realize that send a stranger a picture of yourself can be daunting, it was an intriguing encounter. The response was vast, I received several requests for doodles to be done. However, only about eleven people actually sent me a photo. Nonetheless, I was happy with this result, This engaged me in conversations with my neighbors I would not have had otherwise. Creating an environment that cultivated interactions that would not have otherwise occurred
