Pocket Lint: Navigating The Planetary

This group exhibition with Kainoa Gruspe, presents an exploration of catching smoke with your hands. The lint found in your pocket, in most circumstances, is not given a second thought. Though, for Khan and Gruspe, the lint projects reflections in a known and unknown reality. It’s a slow buildup of material collisions, a reality defined by past experiences, evidence of a lived life, a hitchhiker, an emotion, a receipt that’s gone through the laundry, a fuzziness and inexactness, individual fibers holding on to each other, the last and most truthful thing left in your pocket. This body of work navigates their personal experiences though interactions with terrestrial geographies, histories and timelines in a fuzzy non-linear manner.
