Planting Reality

Objects contain entangled histories. An observation I’ve yet to fully comprehend. However, the need to comprehend fully is not necessary. Possible solutions? Not those either.

I reach for possible outlets for this observation, an alternative approach for comprehension. I set my gaze on the natural world to create objective reality. While remaining aware that the natural world is not free from the grips of anthropoid interplay, it is within sight of a reality created with the natural world’s imagery. Free from the human touch, from those who cannot make things grow — only siphon and guide it. Only the natural world is in charge of this. This sets the stage for a fair representation of reality through the use of plants. This is my plant manifesto. The plant gaze.

Below is a video I have been tweaking on by artist collective Black Quantum Futurism. Their logical approach to time-comprehension encapsulates and regurgitates an awakening I have not encountered to this severity in any other art practice yet. Through their observations of time, a bi-product of the natural world, they begin to understand pasts, presents, and futures with a non-linear understanding.
